There are so many reasons why I love my job. I love meeting new people and capturing your awesome wedding days mostly. But I also get to see new places and taste some amazing food!
Tower Hill Barns in North Wales, has some of the best wedding food I have ever had the joy of tasting. I am a massive foodie (eating not cooking!), and when Jo and her team from Tower Hill Barns asked me to attend their Winter Wedding Food tasting day, and take some photographs of just some of the offerings, I couldn’t refuse. Especially knowing that I would get to eat what was put in front of me once I had finished photographing it. I left Tower Hill Barns that day about a stone heavier and in serious need of an afternoon nap!
All of Tower Hill Barns’ menu is created with the bride and groom in mind. There is so much to choose from and it can be personalised to your requirements or seasonal vibes. The wedding food I had the pleasure of tasting was themed for a Winter wedding. All the food at Tower Hill Barns is sourced locally in North Wales and prepared at the venue.

Tower Hill Barns Wedding Photographer – I first met Nathan and Alice a while ago in Chester. I just remember thinking, wow what a lovely couple. So down to earth and so much fun. Obviously I was delighted when they said they would like to book me to photograph their wedding at Tower Hill Barns.
I arrived with Alice for bridal prep at Tower Hill, and was made to feel like one of the bridal party. Tea, coffee, Prosecco Rich? As much as I would have loved to be sipping fizz with them all, it might have made my job a little bit tricky.
Alice looked stunning in her wedding dress and the lads didn’t scrub up to bad either. The ceremony was held inside the main barn at Tower Hill. It was far too cold for an outdoor ceremony. The ceremony had me and everyone else in stitches. Nathan had recently caused an injury to his knuckle meaning he couldn’t get his wedding ring on without a little help. So…. When it came to the rings part of the ceremony, Nathan whips out a tin of Vaseline from his inside pocket!
Following the ceremony, it was party time and time to create to awesome pictures and video footage. Michael from Capture My Big Day was on hand to make sure the video footage looked epic as always.
After the wedding breakfast, the daylight had faded over Tower Hill Barns in Llangollen and left us with some awesome lights from the venue and lovely fire-pits provided by the venue.
To finish the night, with guests braving the wintery North Wales weather, everyone joined us outside for a sparkler exit.
Here are a few of my favourites from Nathan and Alice’s amazing wedding at Tower Hill Barns.
