Northop Hall Country House Wedding

Northop Hall Country House Wedding

Kate and Adam got married!

I am lucky enough to know Adam and Kate personally. Since Adam and Kate booked me a few years ago, we kept in touch ever since and I was also asked to photograph Kate, Adam and Olivia’s family portraits to hang in their living room.

Now, I am a man who shows very little emotion when it comes to weddings, but there was a special moment during Kate and Adams wedding at Northop Hall which brought the entire room to tears. Even I had to turn away when Olivia was reading a speech.

I arrived at Northop Hall Country House Hotel for Kate’s bridal prep in the morning. The weather was absolutely glorious over North Wales. Kate and her daughter Olivia looked stunning in their dresses. The lads looked pretty sharp too!

As Kate walked down the aisle with her Dad, a seemingly composed Adam soon melted. The ceremony was full of laughter and tears as their nearest and dearest watched the happy couple tie the knot.

We flew through the family photos. Mainly because it was so hot over Northop Hall and we didn’t want to keep people out for too long….oh or away from the bar!

Speeches…Well I’ve already briefly mentioned these. Olivia stole the show! Once everyone had recomposed themselves and the speeches were over, the temperature had cooled a little and Kate and Adam came outside for some more relaxed photographs.

Here are a few of my favourite from Kate and Adams special day at Northop Hall Country House Hotel.

Chateau Rhianfa Wedding Photography – Pete and Jen

Chateau Rhianfa Wedding Photography – Pete and Jen

This was my first visit to Chateau Rhianfa on the stunning North Wales island of Anglesey. Pete and Jen had chosen their dream venue and it was only a few moments away from their new home.

Chateau Rhianfa provides an absolutely stunning backdrop for wedding photographs. Situated on the Menai Straits, it is a joy to photograph the stunning building and scenery.

As is usually the case in North Wales, the day started off with rain. I arrived at Jens house on Anglesey for Bridal Prep in the morning where the family, and bridesmaids made me feel so welcome.

Pete and Jen were married on Jen’s Nana and Grandads wedding anniversary and Jen’s Nan was also a bridesmaid, and Pete’s Dad was his best man on the day. Jen and all her bridesmaids looked amazing with smiles beaming ear to ear.

I arrived at the venue ahead of the bride to find guests enjoying themselves and a slightly nervous looking Pete. Just as Jen was walking down the aisle, Pete did shed a couple of tears as he watched his bride.
Once Pete and Jen had said the I do’s we quickly ran out for a confetti photograph….and ran straight back inside! Typical Welsh weather eh.

Family wedding photographs were all completed in the dry and warmth inside Chateau Rhianfa as well as some Bride and Groom portraits and candids.
The wedding breakfast room looked amazing…especially the wedding cake which featured a cake topper with Pete and Jen’s treasured dogs, Fred and Dozer.

Once the speeches were done, and everyone was fed and watered we had glorious sunshine outside! Quickly we ushered everyone out for a group photo and some couples portraits using the stunning grounds and backdrop of Chateau Rhianfa.

Thank you so much again Pete and Jen for asking me to be part of your special day.

Tyn Dwr Hall Wedding Photography – Sion & Lauren

An amazing day spent with amazing company for Sion and Lauren’s wedding day at Tyn Dwr Hall in Llangollen. Despite the grey skies that hung over Llangollen, smiles were broad and spirits were high as I arrived for bridal prep. Lauren’s flawless makeup was done by Lizzie Griffiths http://www.lizziegriffiths.co.uk/

Lauren looked stunning in her wedding dress, huge veil and Manolo Blahnik shoes and their daughter was such a cute flower girl.

During the ceremony, Sion couldn’t hold is emotions. There may have been a tear or 2 as he watched his beautiful bride walk down the aisle. I was keeping an eye on the weather outside and the rain had stopped, grey skies had started to lift so we made our way outside after the ceremony for the must have confetti photo and group photo before the rain came back in. Typical North Wales weather, the rain stopped again later on and we were able to get Sion and Lauren outside for some beautiful photos.

Thanks you so much Sion and Lauren for having me a long and thank you again Tyn Dwr Hall for all your help.

Here are a few of my favourites from Sion and Lauren’s big day at Tyn Dwr Hall.

Grosvenor Pulford Wedding Photographer – Craig & Sharnah

Well seeing as Craig and Sharnah have just celebrated their 1st wedding anniversary, I guessed it was time I wrote a blog about their amazing wedding at the Grosvenor Pulford Hotel in Chester.

Apart from the lack of leaves on the trees, you wouldn’t believe it was January. We had great daylight and lovely sunshine throughout most the day and I had the pleasure of being assisted by Neal from Neal McVeigh Photography.

I arrived for bridal prep like always and knew it was going to be a good day even before I entered the room. You could hear Sharnah and her 2 bridesmaids Amber and Sarah laughing from down the hallway as the prosecco corks popped.

The ceremony was held inside the Grosvenor Suite at the Grosvenor Pulford Hotel which made a beautiful setting for Craig and Sharnah to say their “I do’s”.

As for the photo’s….we smashed through them! We even managed to find some time for some smoke grenades and creative flash work indoors and out. We did spend a lot of time in the Japanese gardens at the Grosvenor Pulford with its stunning ponds and waterfall which make the wedding photography opportunities idyllic.

Anyway….. Scroll down to see some of my favourite images from what was an epic day in Chester!

Tower Hill Barns Wedding Photographer – Leanne & Brad

Tower Hill Barns Wedding Photographer – Leanne & Brad

The Beast from the East…Remember that? As if we could forget! Welly’s, wind, an AA recovery van, a late ceremony, and the most amazing snow we have seen for a long time! Leanne and Brad’s wedding was amazing despite the unexpected interference from the snow.

Leanne and Brad were married at Tower Hill Barns just outside Llangollen. Although snow was forecast, I don’t think any of us were prepared for what mother nature threw at us. Huge credit to the happy couple, all the staff at Tower Hill Barns, all the amazing suppliers and all the committed guests for making Brad and Leannes day super special!

I arrived with Leanne in the morning, expecting a little bit of stress but she was calm, full of laughs and couldn’t wait to get married. We had to wait a little bit for the registrars to battle through the snow but I’m sure Brad will agree that Leanne was worth the wait. She looked stunning in her wedding dress….and wellies! The things brides have to do on their wedding day eh!?

Once married, we made our way outside into a huge snow storm. Needless to say we didn’t stay out for long. Later on once the snow had calmed we went back out and took some more photographs.

Ironically, Leanne had arranged for guests to throw snowfetti outside the venue instead of traditional confetti. Well….. turns out we had plenty of snow to make sure every guest had a handful if they wanted. Every guest did make the sensible decision to stay inside in the warm bar at Tower Hill Barns.

We actually didn’t stop laughing and smiling all day. It was so much fun! Even for the poor guests who had to arrive to the wedding in an AA van because their car got stuck in the snow.

Here is a small selection of my favourites from Leanne and Brad’s special day at Tower Hill Barns.
