The Beast from the East…Remember that? As if we could forget! Welly’s, wind, an AA recovery van, a late ceremony, and the most amazing snow we have seen for a long time! Leanne and Brad’s wedding was amazing despite the unexpected interference from the snow.
Leanne and Brad were married at Tower Hill Barns just outside Llangollen. Although snow was forecast, I don’t think any of us were prepared for what mother nature threw at us. Huge credit to the happy couple, all the staff at Tower Hill Barns, all the amazing suppliers and all the committed guests for making Brad and Leannes day super special!
I arrived with Leanne in the morning, expecting a little bit of stress but she was calm, full of laughs and couldn’t wait to get married. We had to wait a little bit for the registrars to battle through the snow but I’m sure Brad will agree that Leanne was worth the wait. She looked stunning in her wedding dress….and wellies! The things brides have to do on their wedding day eh!?
Once married, we made our way outside into a huge snow storm. Needless to say we didn’t stay out for long. Later on once the snow had calmed we went back out and took some more photographs.
Ironically, Leanne had arranged for guests to throw snowfetti outside the venue instead of traditional confetti. Well….. turns out we had plenty of snow to make sure every guest had a handful if they wanted. Every guest did make the sensible decision to stay inside in the warm bar at Tower Hill Barns.
We actually didn’t stop laughing and smiling all day. It was so much fun! Even for the poor guests who had to arrive to the wedding in an AA van because their car got stuck in the snow.
Here is a small selection of my favourites from Leanne and Brad’s special day at Tower Hill Barns.

Candid, Converse, Sparklers, Smoke Grenades……I love a good wedding!!!
Its no surprise Mike and Adele had chosen the Grosvenor Pulford for their wedding reception. Its a beautiful venue and offers so many different photo opportunities. Not to mention the fact it was an absolute scorcher of a day so we spent a lot of time outdoors where guests could socialise and lap up the rays with a glass of Pimms! Ok it might not have been Pimms but you get the idea!
The ceremony was held at the gorgeous St Lawrence church in Soak, just outside Ellesmere Port. The vicar is one of the friendliest modern vicars I have ever met. He was taking photos on his iPad and adding his own personal touches to make Mike and Adele’s wedding ceremony perfect.
After the ceremony, we stayed for a few photos with the bridal car at the church before heading over to the Grosvenor Pulford. We made the most of the gorgeous Chester weather and created some stunning images. We even had a little bit of fun later on with some sparklers which was a shot Adele really wanted.

Tower Hill Barns Wedding Photographer
This wasn’t my first visit to Tower Hill, nor the first time I had photographed Callum and Hannah. We actually spent an afternoon at Vale Crucis Abbey in Llangollen for a fun engagement shoot prior to the wedding.
Callum and Hannah thought they would be a little uneasy having their photographs taken, but on their engagement shoot and on the wedding day they absolutely smashed it! So… The big day itself…..
I have so much love for Tower Hill Barns! Llangollen is one of my favourite places in North Wales with its stunning scenery and friendly locals. The views and staff at Tower Hill Barns were as amazing as I knew they would be.
Hannah and her bridesmaids got ready in a gorgeous apartment in Llangollen whilst Callum and his Groomsmen started the morning with a round of golf in Buckley. As you’ll see from the photos, the weather was amazing and everyone looked perfect! Hannah’s dress was stunning and Callum scrubbed up alright too in his Army uniform!
The ceremony was conducted outside under the old bridge at Tower Hill Barns with the hills and farms of Llangollen surrounding us. Once Callum and Hannah had said “I do” it was straight into the family photographs. We waited until after the meal for the bride and groom images so everyone could cool down a little. It was a scorcher!!
Thank you Nadine from ELS Photography for second shooting with me on this awesome wedding!

Cherry Orchard Lake Wedding Photographer
Where do I even begin with this blog? Everything about this wedding was amazing! We had the perfect weather, a stunning Cheshire countryside setting in Delamere, such a fun bridal party and an awesome bride and groom who let me have free rein on creativity!
Cherry Orchard Lake, run by Delamere events is tucked away in the Cheshire countryside and is the perfect wedding venue for anyone who is not wanting a formal hotel wedding. I mean literally….. its tipi’s in a huge field, next to a beautiful lake. You’ll see what I mean in the pictures!
So I arrived for bridal prep in the morning at Sophie’s parents house where Sophie and her bridesmaids were not showing any sign of nerves at all. 2 hours quickly flew by and it was time to see Chris and Sophie say I do at Christleton Church.
Nothing really out of the ordinary there… but as soon as we arrived at Cherry Orchard Lake, with the sun shining and the prosecco flowing, I couldn’t stop grinning with joy all day!
Working with Dan from Third Avenue Photography, we caught some amazing images with Dan’s drone, smoke grenades, a VW camper van and a beetle! Oh that was just the day time. Not to mention one of the best speeches I’ve heard from a best man (well best men in this case). … At your standard wedding, during the evening you might get a tasty buffet or a juicy hog roast. Nah that wasn’t going to happen at this wedding. A converted Mk1 landrover arrived to serve freshly made pizzas (when I say converted, i literally mean the back of it was converted into a pizza oven!) And Chris and Sophie had also arranged a van to serve tasty crepes all evening too! Maybe I did taste a few of these.. Obviously just to make sure they were ok for the bride and groom to eat!
As the evening went on, and the band played, the guests were having such an amazing time….. and it got a little bit better again when everyone was then invited outside for a fireworks display over Cherry Orchard Lake.
Anywhere, here are a selection of my favourites from Chris and Sophie’s epic wedding at Cherry Orchard Lake, run by Delamere Events.
