Tyn Dwr Hall Wedding Photography – Sion & Lauren

An amazing day spent with amazing company for Sion and Lauren’s wedding day at Tyn Dwr Hall in Llangollen. Despite the grey skies that hung over Llangollen, smiles were broad and spirits were high as I arrived for bridal prep. Lauren’s flawless makeup was done by Lizzie Griffiths http://www.lizziegriffiths.co.uk/

Lauren looked stunning in her wedding dress, huge veil and Manolo Blahnik shoes and their daughter was such a cute flower girl.

During the ceremony, Sion couldn’t hold is emotions. There may have been a tear or 2 as he watched his beautiful bride walk down the aisle. I was keeping an eye on the weather outside and the rain had stopped, grey skies had started to lift so we made our way outside after the ceremony for the must have confetti photo and group photo before the rain came back in. Typical North Wales weather, the rain stopped again later on and we were able to get Sion and Lauren outside for some beautiful photos.

Thanks you so much Sion and Lauren for having me a long and thank you again Tyn Dwr Hall for all your help.

Here are a few of my favourites from Sion and Lauren’s big day at Tyn Dwr Hall.

Grosvenor Pulford Wedding Photographer – Craig & Sharnah

Well seeing as Craig and Sharnah have just celebrated their 1st wedding anniversary, I guessed it was time I wrote a blog about their amazing wedding at the Grosvenor Pulford Hotel in Chester.

Apart from the lack of leaves on the trees, you wouldn’t believe it was January. We had great daylight and lovely sunshine throughout most the day and I had the pleasure of being assisted by Neal from Neal McVeigh Photography.

I arrived for bridal prep like always and knew it was going to be a good day even before I entered the room. You could hear Sharnah and her 2 bridesmaids Amber and Sarah laughing from down the hallway as the prosecco corks popped.

The ceremony was held inside the Grosvenor Suite at the Grosvenor Pulford Hotel which made a beautiful setting for Craig and Sharnah to say their “I do’s”.

As for the photo’s….we smashed through them! We even managed to find some time for some smoke grenades and creative flash work indoors and out. We did spend a lot of time in the Japanese gardens at the Grosvenor Pulford with its stunning ponds and waterfall which make the wedding photography opportunities idyllic.

Anyway….. Scroll down to see some of my favourite images from what was an epic day in Chester!

The Beast from the East…Remember that? As if we could forget! Welly’s, wind, an AA recovery van, a late ceremony, and the most amazing snow we have seen for a long time! Leanne and Brad’s wedding was amazing despite the unexpected interference from the snow.

Leanne and Brad were married at Tower Hill Barns just outside Llangollen. Although snow was forecast, I don’t think any of us were prepared for what mother nature threw at us. Huge credit to the happy couple, all the staff at Tower Hill Barns, all the amazing suppliers and all the committed guests for making Brad and Leannes day super special!

I arrived with Leanne in the morning, expecting a little bit of stress but she was calm, full of laughs and couldn’t wait to get married. We had to wait a little bit for the registrars to battle through the snow but I’m sure Brad will agree that Leanne was worth the wait. She looked stunning in her wedding dress….and wellies! The things brides have to do on their wedding day eh!?

Once married, we made our way outside into a huge snow storm. Needless to say we didn’t stay out for long. Later on once the snow had calmed we went back out and took some more photographs.

Ironically, Leanne had arranged for guests to throw snowfetti outside the venue instead of traditional confetti. Well….. turns out we had plenty of snow to make sure every guest had a handful if they wanted. Every guest did make the sensible decision to stay inside in the warm bar at Tower Hill Barns.

We actually didn’t stop laughing and smiling all day. It was so much fun! Even for the poor guests who had to arrive to the wedding in an AA van because their car got stuck in the snow.

Here is a small selection of my favourites from Leanne and Brad’s special day at Tower Hill Barns.

Soughton Hall Wedding Photography

Everything about Will and Kait’s wedding at Soughton Hall oozed class, style and the overall wow factor! Pretty incredible when you consider Kaitlin was organising the wedding all the way from California whilst Will was serving the armed forces here in the UK. I had managed to meet with Will and Kait on one occasion prior to the wedding and immediately knew it was going to be an epic wedding. Kaitlin had shown me some ideas which she loved and Will was had a lot of his friends from the forces who were going to be in attendance in full military dress including an abundance of swords! I did feel a little left out not having a sword šŸ™ I arrived at Soughton Hall in the morning for Kaitlin’s bridal prep images where I was greeted by both families, including those who made the trip over from California. Such a friendly bunch! The bride and her bridesmaids looked absolutely stunning and I have to say the groom and groomsmen also matched up in their uniforms. Will and Kait also exchanged notes on the morning of the wedding behind one of the oak doors at Soughton Hall. It was a military operation in itself making sure Will and Kait didn’t see each other before they said I do. The weather over Soughton Hall started off as any typical North Wales day…. Rain. It soon cleared though and we were able to enjoy the stunning gardens of Soughton Hall and create some gorgeous photos. We were even able to get back outside during the evening for some sparkler photographs. Always fun…and occasionally worrying for the guests who have been lacquered in hairspray!! Candid, Converse, Sparklers, Smoke Grenades……I love a good wedding!!!

Its no surprise Mike and Adele had chosen the Grosvenor Pulford for their wedding reception. Its a beautiful venue and offers so many different photo opportunities. Not to mention the fact it was an absolute scorcher of a day so we spent a lot of time outdoors where guests could socialise and lap up the rays with a glass of Pimms! Ok it might not have been Pimms but you get the idea!

The ceremony was held at theĀ gorgeous St Lawrence church in Soak, just outside Ellesmere Port. The vicar is one of the friendliest modern vicars I have ever met. He was taking photos on his iPad and adding his own personal touches to make Mike and Adele’s wedding ceremony perfect.

After the ceremony, we stayed for a few photos with the bridal car at the church before heading over to the Grosvenor Pulford. We made the most of the gorgeous Chester weather and created some stunning images. We even had a little bit of fun later on with some sparklers which was a shot Adele really wanted.

Here are a few of my favourites from Mike and Adele’s wedding day at the Grosvenor Pulford Hotel.
